First phase

Assessment of growth and bite

Here, I would like to bring to your notice that, every baby born should have routine check-up. certain treatment should be done only at particular age, it will depend on jaw growth and eruption of the teeth. Infact we do treat patients from the age of 3 years. Usually children’s develop protruding lower jaw because of a bad habit like Anenoids and also some time because of their upper teeth being placed backward than lower teeth this is called Anterior Crossbite. If we correct with a simple appliance for a short period, we will avoid major disfigure and surgery.

In the same manner during the eruption of upper permanent Incisors. When the backside 1st molar erupts it can grow towards tongue leading to collapse of the arch, finally child will have facial asymmetry. In such cases we use Expanders.

At the same time childrens loose their milk teeth earlier and there will not be space for the erupting permanent teeth. In such cases it is very important to put space maintainer.

Then u see jaws does not grow properly either of one or both. If the upper jaw grows too much forward and downward we call it as gummy smile. This we can easily correct if child comes to us before one or two years of their maturation. At the same time they may have lower jaw growth deficient-this we can treat by advancing the jaw by an activator.

Third phase

In this phase, if all other treatment fails, a skeletal correction is achieved in combination with the surgery. This is more of a cosmetic correction and faster corrections. We do treat lot of cases in this phase due to time and urgency.

Overview

Deciduous treatment focuses on guiding the growth and development of the jaws and dental arches while your child is still in the primary (baby teeth) stage. We monitor alignment, spacing, and habits that may affect the permanent dentition.

Our goal is to prevent small problems from becoming bigger ones. When intervention is needed, we choose age-appropriate options that support comfortable chewing, healthy oral habits, and a smoother transition into the next phase of care.
